Live Music Returns For Joe!

After almost two years, Joe returned to the live music scene for the first time on Saturday 4th December in some style. Playing his first ever gig with Pure Entertainment at the Bunn’s Leisure Resort in Selsey. It certainly was a night to remember for all the right reasons…

COVID-19 had put all live music on hold for a considerable period of time and it was only in July of this year that events, festivals and gigs managed to make a return. For Joe, however, it took a little longer due to travel restrictions and social gatherings still having their limitations, but that certainly didn’t stop his determination and commitment to put all his hard work into practice. Commencing his partnership with Canopus Drums, Joe also used his new drum kit at this event for the very first time.

Playing for Jamie Lee Harrison, the show was successful from the outset. With the band playing a series of fantastic songs in a sublime setlist. Some of their hits included ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’, ‘Shut Up and Dance’, ‘Angels’ and many more. Jamie is best known as a Semi-Finalist on Britain’s Got Talent and has played with some extremely high profile artists across the course of his career such as Becky Hill and Lucy Spraggan.

The crowd gave Jamie and the whole band an eruptive reaction. Everybody in the theatre was singing, dancing and clapping along with an exceptional atmosphere created as a result. Jamie put on a memorable show and the band certainly didn’t disappoint. Joe later commented on the opportunity…

“It has truly been an honour to play with Jamie. He is an exceptional artist with an incredible voice, a true gentleman and extremely encouraging and supportive of me, considering it was my first ever gig with these guys. I loved every single minute of my time on the stage and to be perfectly honest, I didn’t want it to end. I can’t wait for what is to come in the new year, and potentially playing even more shows alongside Jamie in the future. For now, however, this one will always live in the memories, for all the right reasons.”

The live shows for Joe did not stop there, with another successful show alongside Jeff Dinghle as Bruno Mars following this one up on Saturday 11th December. What a way to see out 2021! But the first show back will always be the most memorable one.
