Another Fantastic Collaboration

On Friday 4th December, Joe once again released another collaboration to add to his collection of projects. This time, however, it was not a full band cover, but instead a duet with his good friend and fellow freelance musician, guitarist Riccardo Caredda.

Covering Knights of Cydonia, originally by Muse, the two musicians did not disappoint or let up on their talent for even one second during this six and a half minute song as the combined pairing demonstrated not only a fantastic team effort but a brilliant, well thought out and constructed cover of what even Muse call one of their hardest songs to play due to the technical difficulty behind it combined with the instrumentation.

Joe and Riccardo did not let that phase them though as Joe thrashed out the drums with a solid rhythmic feel and consistent time keeping as usual but this time also including a number of huge highlights, not to mention the original riff where he executed and accurately emulated some perfect drum fills originally performed by Dominic Howard, the original and current drummer for Muse. Joe’s drumming was combined with some exceptionally accurate guitar playing from Riccardo, where he perfectly emulated Matthew Bellamy’s original guitar riffs on the original song throughout.

Overall this is an excellent team effort and a fantastic collaboration, with both musicians admitting that this is definitely not the last project they will be working on together. There will be plenty more to come from two freelance musicians who are only just beginning their careers with plenty ahead for both musicians to look forward to in the future.
